Is WordPress just a blogging platform? Originally, yes! Actually it’s a very powerful publishing platform. Combined with good web design and good content it can be any type of website. Social, e-commerce, resources or a very powerful content management system. A non-public installation of WordPress could even be used as a very powerful CRM system or even an internal database. Here are some examples of WordPress that we’ve seen that aren’t just your average blogging platform – they’re more than that. Check them out, let us know what you think – with the exception of The Telegraph site – these are all Square One sites.

There are many other possibilities for the use of WordPress. Web design is about presenting content, the functionality that goes on under the bonnet can quite easily be handled by WordPress as long as you have the know how. What are your thoughts? Leave your comments below.
Hello there! I know this is kinda off topic but
I was wondering if you knew where I could get a captcha plugin for my comment form?
I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m
having trouble finding one? Thanks a lot!
Depends what you are using for your forms, if you have installed the Askimet (which is owned by Automatic) and have an account it will do a very good job of limiting spam if that is your issue. Otherwise Contact Form 7 has a built in Captcha extension, Ninja Forms also has the same I believe. Other than that develop your own 🙂
